Nurse (Clinical/Emergency Department)

Performs triage, while considering both physical and psychosocial elements. Provides comprehensive nursing care to patients presenting for urgent or emergent care. Observes, monitors, and assesses patient's condition; Recognizes, identifies, and interprets serious situations; Determines and implements proper emergency measures. Interviews and takes medical histories, to acquire medically necessary information to assess physical and mental status of patient. Independently manages basic life support needs and stabilizes patients until the physician or provider is available. Performs various pulmonary ventilation functions and documents appropriately in the health record.
