Auditor

Serves under a PM and is responsible for independently performing broad and complex assignments in matters relating to the development, improvement, evaluation, and effective accomplishment of audits performed on behalf of or used by the DoW. Performs oversight and evaluation reviews of DoW internal and external auditors. Interprets regulations, policies, and other standards; evaluates consistent application, while recognizing diversity of audit organizations and type of audits. Ensures oversight reviews satisfy stated objectives in accordance with applicable standards and working papers provide a supportable basis for reporting results. Creates and reviews reports for technical competence and adherence to standards. Reviews management responses to recommendations to determine adequacy of corrective actions.
