Akron Public Schools Monday-Friday  $2,000 Sign on Bonus Available (Taxable)   Summary: The Medical Assistant role provides clinical and administrative support for patients under the direction of a Provider and/or licensed Nurse. Responsibilities: 1. Actively interfaces with patients and families of Akron Children’s Hospitals 2. Prepares patients for examination; takes and records vital signs; performs phlebotomy as needed; administers medications as directed by the Providers according to policy and procedure 3. Collects data that contributes to the assessment and evaluation of individualized care and needs of assigned patients, including discharge plans, under the direction of the Licensed Nurse 4. Collects, processes, and submits laboratory specimens in accordance with policy and procedure 5.
