PIPEFITTER LEADER (EXPERT)

You will serve as an Expert Pipefitter leading a group to ensure work assignments are completed. You will install, modify, fabricate, and repair new and existing shipboard system piping and equipment including low and high pressure air, water, and steam systems. You will mentor, train and instruct Pipe Shop employees in a wide range of pipefitting duties. You will inspect completed and in progress work for quality of workmanship and adherence to requirements, specifications, standards, plans, and schedules. You will perform maintenance, repairs, troubleshooting, installation, modification and testing in the shop and onboard ships. You will perform research to continually improve trade processes and keep shop personnel apprised of new technologies, procedures, best practices, and tooling improvements.
