Serve as a technical authority in a specialization, either a broad functional area such as cataloging criteria or preservation of rare materials, or in a narrower but very complex subject area related to biomedical research. Develop policies, programs, services and/or products for a library system. Develop authoritative new approaches and methods to resolve highly unusual information problems. Perform highly specialized and/or authoritative cataloging. Serve as an expert in reference and information research.
