About the role

At the full performance level (WG-09) the major duties of this position include, but are not limited to the following: Perform preventive maintenance to all plumbing and mechanical equipment and parts. Install, modify, and repair plumbing fixtures (bathtubs, showers, toilets, sinks, water fountains, and their associated hardware). Clean gravity type sewage drain lines, repairs or replaces potable water lines, and make connections and repairs to water mains and fire hydrants. Install, repair, and perform preventive maintenance to heating and cooling systems (including low pressure hot water and evaporative type coolers). Pack valve stems, service check valves, flanges, altitude valves, gauges, and all pumping equipment used in water systems. May perform minor carpentry in repairs related to the plumbing work such as replacing floor tiles, bath tiles, panels, etc., that might be required in the maintenance of facilities.
