About the role
Performs a full range of preparation and painting on the exterior and interior of park buildings and structures. Calculates amounts and order types of paint, supplies and equipment needed to complete painting and drywall projects. Determines a schedule, oversees, and directs up to 3 employees including tracking hours worked in Maximo, a Facility maintenance tracking program, on a daily basis. Sets up proper work site staging areas and assure all work is completed professionally and safely. Prepares surfaces prior to applying paint with spray guns, brushes and rollers and may work in excess of 35 feet off of the ground utilizing ladders, scaffold, motorized lifts, and personal fall protection equipment in compliance with federal and state regulations. Physical Demands: The painter prepares, and coats surfaces from ladders, scaffolds, platforms and in situations where the surfaces to be coated are in cramped and hard to reach places.
