Quality Assurance Specialist

Submits reports of documented instances of unacceptable contractor performance and contractor's failure to comply with contractual provisions. Ensures adequacy and progress of work commensurate with amounts requested, including contract fee. Determines that all special clauses and contractual terms are complied with. Serves as primary source of information to Contracting Officer Representative in fee determination and evaluation of costs incurred. Develops surveillance techniques and procedures to use in inspecting the operation of functions under contract to determine efficiency and effectiveness. Ensures evaluation methods provide systematic and equitable review appropriate to the service. Recommends approval of acquisition of required equipment, supplies and material within the scope of the contract. Evaluates contractor's quality control system when incorporated into terms of contract. Evaluates performance against contractual requirements.
