Plumber

Major duties include, but are not limited to: Disassembles and repairs damaged sections or fabricates replaces, following specifications on defective parts. Directs or performs the assembling of lead pipe sections and fittings, and the hanging or laying of the assemblies into position. Estimates necessary materials, such as pipe, fittings, and fixtures needed. Locates and marks spots through which pipes are to pass. Works from blueprints or drawings. Improves new systems when needed. Places and connects sewage, water fixtures and facilities, such as hydrants water mains, water closets, lavatories, dishwashers, water pumps, vacuum pumps, and other dietetic equipment. Install and maintain special water systems, such as, reverse osmosis and deionized systems for special applications. Performs other related duties as assigned.
