As the principal executive responsible for leading, directing, and coordinating Social Security Administration (SSA) field operations in the Southeastern United States, the Head of Direct Services: Provides executive leadership, administrative direction, and strategic oversight for all SSA field operations within the defined service area. The incumbent ensures consistent interpretation and implementation of SSA goals, objectives, policies, and plans at the field level, and establishes operating policies and objectives aligned with national priorities. Continuously evaluates field operations and contributes to the development of SSA-wide policies and long-range plans. Organizes direct-service facilities and personnel to deliver the most effective, economical, and balanced service to the public, utilizing available service delivery options.
