PARALEGAL SPECIALIST

Receive and review various court orders to determine the sufficiency of the legal documentation submitted for consideration. Analyze facts of individual case and research the laws to determine whether statutory requirements (i.e. service to process, exemption of pay, or other support provisions) have been met. Provide advice/assistance to customers; make determinations of legal validity regarding all forms of garnishments, involuntary allotments, and bankruptcies and applications under Uniformed Services Former Spouses' Protection Act. Conduct legal research regarding pay, garnishments, involuntary allotments, bankruptcies, or collections. Duties will be developmental in nature when the position is filled below the full performance level.
