THE IDEAL CANDIDATE The City and County of San Francisco is seeking a collaborative, community-oriented, innovative leader who has demonstrated success in working with diverse communities. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of community development programs, including Community Development Block Grant programs and similar HUD funding streams. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker capable of implementation through teamwork and collaboration and must be able to communicate effectively with people from all constituencies and neighborhoods, including residents, elected officials, advisory committee members, advocates, and other city department staff. The ideal candidate will be an experienced manager who empowers while ensuring accountability and provides high-level guidance, support and mentorship to the division managers and staff on the Community Development team.
