Environmental Protection Specialist (Direct Hire)

Oversees and performs duties relating to environmental programs to protect or improve environmental quality, control pollution, remedy environmental damage, or ensure compliance with environmental laws and regulations. Manages compliance with environmental laws and regulations in areas such as air and water quality, hazardous and nonhazardous waste, materials management, storage tanks, oil and hazardous substance, resources, endangered species, coastal management. Consults on compliance related to site restoration and remediation, and any other current or future environmental requirement through permitting, self-assessments, audits, inspections, investigations, reporting, and corrective actions. Integrates environmental considerations into the decision-making processes (e.g., integration of the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) into construction and operation and maintenance projects).
