Duties described below are at the highest grade advertised. Conduct scientific research on matter, energy, physical measurement, and environmental phenomena, applying analytical and experimental methods. Design, plan, and execute scientific investigations, modeling, analyses, and evaluations to support mission and program objectives. Develop technical proposals, study plans, and project concepts to advance scientific understanding and inform NASA decision making. Prepare scientific findings, technical documentation, and briefing materials for internal and external stakeholders.
