LABORER

Loads, and unloads heavy boxes, bulky supplies, and materials to and from truck, vans, or loading docks. Moves heavy boxes, cartons, and furniture by hand, hand truck or dolly. Opens crates and boxes using crowbars and cuts bands with shears. Stacks and places boxes and cartons where directed. Using a shovel, digs ditches and trenches where is pick is not needed to loosen soil, and where grading and sloping are not required. Fills holes with dirt and levels bumps and low places using a shovel, hand tamper, and rake. Mixes and pours concrete, assists in forming walls, minor carpentry and minor building and playground repairs and maintenance. Operates riding powered mowers and manual lawn mowers. Adjusts blades, cleans and oils mowers. Cuts trees using a hand saw, axe, or chainsaw. Assists in pruning hedges and shrubbery. Picks up and delivers bulk mail.
