About the role
The major duties of the Supervisory Criminal Investigator (Branch Chief) position include, but are not limited to, the following: Investigates crimes, effectuates arrests, conducts interviews and interrogations of individuals, preserves and documents evidence, maintains all required training, firearms qualifications, and fitness standards for an ATF 1811 position. Is familiar with the jurisdictions and venues of various federal, state and local law enforcement agencies and court systems and is knowledgeable of pertinent statues, regulations, policies, and guidelines including, but not limited to, the Code of Federal Regulations, Federal Rules of Criminal Procedure, Federal Sentencing Guidelines, Federal Guideline on the conduct of criminal investigations, the rules of evidence, the laws regarding detention & arrests and searches & seizures, the laws regarding searches & seizures, and the precedent of cases.
