About the role
The major duties of the Supervisory Industry Operations Investigator (Area Supervisor) position include, but are not limited to, the following: Serving as a key Industry Operations representative for assigned geographical area. Preparing and presenting briefings to the DIO and industry officials about regulatory matters. Conferring with Field Division management Bureau Headquarters personnel, other Area Supervisors, and officials of other government agencies with regard to issues or changes in legislation that affect assigned jurisdiction. Evaluating the content of new or modified legislation for projected impact on Industry Operations programs. Conducting presentations to civic, trade and industry organizations, conducts seminars on the latest regulatory matters, and confers with state and local officials, applicants for licenses and permits, industry members, the media, and interest groups.
