About the role
You will: Prepare Clean Air Act (CAA) air permits for those facilities for which EPA is the permitting authority and/or review CAA air permits for various facilities that were issued by states, to ensure compliance with the requirements of the CAA and federal and state air regulations. Provide technical advice and support to state, local or tribal agencies regarding technical and scientific criteria and methods; implementation of pollution control requirements; and impacts of pollutants, to help them ensure compliance with the requirements of the Clean Air Act and federal and state air regulations. Resolve issues related to Clean Air Act (CAA) air permit requirements by negotiating with owners and other interested parties, and defend permits against legal challenges, along with Office of Regional Counsel (ORC), in order to support ensuring compliance with the requirements of the CAA and federal air regulations.
