FIELD OPERATIONS SPECIALIST

As a/an FIELD OPERATIONS SPECIALIST at theGS- 0301-12, some of your typical work assignments may include: Serve as the lead SBA official in the disaster area and is in charge of coordinating with federal, state and local officials and overseeing all SBA activities and staff for Presidential disaster declarations. Represent SBA at Regional Interagency Steering Committee meetings and prepare and submit written reports. Oversee and direct the interviewing of disaster survivors, assisting with application completion, and screening disaster loan applications (paper and electronic), and loan closings. Coordinate with FEMA and the state and local disaster staff in planning and establishing Disaster Recovery Centers, and act to see that SBA's needs are met at those centers. Plan, develop, deliver and evaluate a variety of training presentations utilizing Microsoft Office Suite.
