About the role

As a Civil Engineer or Mechanical Engineer, you will: Provide expertise and leadership for key technical areas including transmission line design, clearance analysis, failure analysis, meteorological investigations and quality assurance and control (QA/QC) for components of the transmission system. Provide advanced engineering solutions to transmission related conductor hardware and clearance issues to meet construction, maintenance, replacement, and operational needs. Perform sag and tension calculations for analysis and installation of conductor, ground wire, and fiber optic cables with adequate clearances on transmission structures. Coordinate and perform inspection and witnesses design and production tests of transmission line components to insure compliance with BPA technical specifications.
