About the role
You will serve as an Electronics Technician and be responsible for assigned projects and staff to evaluate, design, and implement improvements to CG electronic marine ATON systems. This involves project planning, budgeting, and coordinating with the WOPL Manager, Deputy Product Line Manager, HQ project managers, Engineering Logistics Command, and other CG units.. Being a Coast Guard civilian makes you a valuable member of the Coast Guard team. Typical work assignments include: Technical specialist related to the design, development, evaluation, and implementation of navigational aids and communications systems for new and existing facilities. Develops equipment specifications and design and implementation manuals to guide the procurement and implementation systems. Incumbent provides technical coordination and direction to field CG units in the design and evaluation of prototype installations.
