Program Manager (Operations Support Manager)

Incumbent implements national level requirements for programs such as acquisition/procurement, material, training/certification, physical security, and environment/safety. Maintains, analyzes, and reports information relied on by managers to efficiently manage the organization. Defines and acquires resources necessary to accomplish the goals and objectives of the Technical Operations organization. Participates in planning and executing organizational goals using sound management principles in order to accomplish mission objectives. Work includes a mixture of routine and complex projects/programs based on the objectives. Managerial duties includes planning; communicating the organization's vision and objectives; setting priorities; assigning tasks and responsibilities; monitoring and evaluating performance; coaching and developing employee capabilities; approving leave; and taking, recommending or approving corrective/disciplinary actions as appropriate.
