About the role
Major duties include: Oversee contract administration, including modifications, financial adjustments, and closeouts. Draft briefings, reports, and recommendations for senior leadership to support decision-making in labor relations. Research and interpret federal regulations, case law, and policy to ensure all agreements meet legal requirements. Collaborate with faculty, researchers, and administrators to understand project needs and explain contractual requirements. Engage relevant parties to develop negotiation strategies, positions, and options regarding cost, price, terms and conditions. Serve as advisor in negotiations with labor unions, contractors, or other agencies, advising on complex disputes and arbitration. Serve as a representative of the DCOS in meetings with office heads, key officials, government agencies, and organizations outside the Federal Government.
