Equal Employment Manager

The primary purpose of this position is to perform work that involves developing, administering, evaluating or advising on the Federal Government's internal equal employment opportunity program within the assigned organization. Duties include, but are not limited to: Provides leadership, advice and counsel to line and staff managers/supervisors in the development and implementation of the organization's affirmative action plan; Coordinates Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) activity with Human Resources staff and establishes and maintains effective contacts with community elements interested in equal opportunity; Serves as the principal advisor to the organizational leadership and staff for a region by providing expert advice on all matters related to the EEO program on the feasibility and impact of EEO plans, policies and decisions; Manages the EEO complaints processes. Assures formal complaints are processed within established time limits and in accordance with published regulations
