About the role
Acts as the senior technical lead overseeing the daily operations of the CMS Security Operations Center (SOC) and Incident Management Team (IMT). Leads and collaborates as an active contributor on advancing traditional and emerging technology solutions to enable security, business integration, modernization of existing systems, and fulfillment of the agency’s mission. Develops and maintains advanced capabilities for security automation, process optimization, and operational transparency, including integration of cloud services and emerging technologies. Oversees and streamlines the efficient operation of CMS Security Operations, including incident monitoring, handling, and reporting. Improves program effectiveness through KPIs and performance metrics.
