ACCOUNTANT

You will design, adapt, revise and evaluate accounting reports, procedures, and operations encompassing multiple financial management/ accounting systems across subordinate commands. You will ensure policies, practices, and procedures in place at operating activities comply with DoD and DFAS-HQ policy. You will ensure all accounting documents, civilian pay, travel entitlements, contractor payment, and all other financial documents are processed in a timely and accurate manner. You will review a variety of incoming, outgoing, and summary financial reports to ensure the accuracy, reliability, and integrity of financial operations and financial reports submitted from operating activities. You will review/analyze new legislation and proposed policy changes to determine impacts on current operations.
