Medical Technician

Perform testing in the laboratory ranging from routine to complex testing on bodily fluids in accordance with established Standard Operating Procedures and Policies. Verify correct instrument operation using established procedures and quality control checks. Operate laboratory computer system which includes placing orders, logging samples, and entering test results. Determine appropriateness of incoming specimens (i.e. timing of specimen collection, potential interference, proper specimen type, etc.).
