Registered Nurse- Chief Acute Care

Provides executive leadership and direct supervision to the Nurse Managers over the following units: Combined Critical Care Unit (CCCU), Direct Observation Unit (DOU), General Medicine (GMED), along with a pulmonary department, which consists of respiratory therapy and a sleep lab. Assesses plans and evaluates the processes and daily operations of the medical units. In collaboration with the Associate Chief of Staff for Medicine and Subspecialty Care, designs and implements interdisciplinary programs within the service and medical center. Ensures competency assessment is completed on each nursing employee annually. Reviews EPRP, VASQUIP, IPEC, Performance Measures, and other data for trends and early intervention; formulate follow-up plans with Nurse Executive Team, Nurse Managers, the service, and the medical center.
