Registered Nurse Case Manager

The RN practices in a complex patient care setting in collaboration with colleagues and Nurse Managers with minimal supervision. The RN is accountable as assigned as a primary nurse or a team leader for a defined group of patients on his/her shift or for an entire episode of care. Based upon education and experience, this nurse may provide direct supervision and be assigned as a preceptor or shift charge nurse.Other duties include, but are not limited to: Provides a full range of nursing care to patients with complex care needs utilizing the nursing process based on the ANA Standards of Nursing Practice. Demonstrates consistent clinical competence in providing nursing care. Uses equipment correctly and accurately interprets data. Recognizes subtle changes in patient's condition and responds timely, choosing the correct interventions. Demonstrates evidence of critical thinking skills in identifying, analyzing, and resolving patient care problems on the unit. Performs ongoing assessment
