Environmental Scientist / Research Environmental Scientist

As an Environmental Scientist or Research Environmental Scientist, duties may include one or more of the following, and are not limited to: Collect scientific data, analysis and management to inform agency decisions for mission needs. Assists with application of knowledge of information management to evaluate and advise on the interpretation of scientific data. Provide scientific expertise for planning, monitoring, data extraction and management and policy development. Lead data extraction and system management to control the organization, storage, retrieval, security, and integrity of data. Provide subject matter knowledge and demonstrate the ability to communicate information in plain language in order to assist team and agency leaders to effectively navigate data and data systems NOTE: These duties are described at the full performance level of the ZP-4; the ZP-3 is developmental leading to such performance.
