PIPEFITTER-DIRECT HIRE AUTHORITY

Installs, modifies, maintains, and repairs new and existing low and high-pressure (55 psi to 1 60 psi) piping systems and associated equipment. Plans and lays out installation, repair, and/or modification of low and high pressure piping systems and equipment applying and interpreting information in blueprints, charts, and sketches. Troubleshoots/inspects low and high-pressure piping systems and equipment and determines need for modification and/or repair to insure proper and safe operation. Operates water collection, treatment, transmission, storage, and supply systems. Operates equipment and adjusts and regulates altitude valves and distribution pumps to maintain adequate water levels in reservoirs and storage tanks. Maintains and operates swimming pool water treatment equipment and associated processes throughout the base. Utilizes safety practices and procedures following established safety rules and regulations and maintains safe and clean work environment. Uses and maintains tools
