CONTRACT SPECIALIST

You will acquire goods and services for the Government from commercial or noncommercial sources when and where they are needed, at the most reasonable price, and in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. You will perform contract analysis to include procurement of supplies, services, construction, research and development, and major systems using formal advertising or negotiation procedures. You will develop and implement recommendations and solutions to contract problems, risks, and outcomes in the pre and post-award procedures to plan and conduct the contracting process for the description of the requirement through contract delivery. You will be responsible for procurement systems or programs which require extensive analyses and continuing evaluation of potential approaches to establish comprehensive solutions, development of new concepts, theories, or programs.
