Supervisory Accountant

The Supervisory Accountant is responsible for the detailed, efficient operation and control of day-to-day fiscal accounting activities at this facility. The incumbent must be experienced in applying professional concepts and methodologies as well as knowledgeable in functional program characteristics and requirements. Duties include, but may not be limited to the following: Provide instruction and technical expertise on fund control point management and employee travel training to accounting technicians, control point officials, service/care line chiefs, and fund control clerks as needed to fulfill their jobs in a fully successful manner Oversees, and conduct training of accounting activities performed by employees outside of Fiscal Service Monitor reports generated by the FMS to identify and correct any out-of-balance conditions that may exist from a variety of sources Certifies monthly reconciliations are completed on 24 different programs segments within the accounting section Respo
