About the role

The following are the duties of this position at the GS-15. If you are selected at a lower grade level, you will have the opportunity to learn to perform all these duties and will receive training to help you grow in this position. Represent the Department in administrative litigation before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Merit Systems Protection Board, and the Federal Labor Relations Authority, and works with the Department of Justice to defend the Department in lawsuits involving personnel law and other matters. Provide advice on issues of administrative law, including labor and personnel law, information law, records management, appropriations law, procurement, environmental law, and other topics. Advice is provided with respect to Department-wide policy established by offices including the Chief Human Capital Officer, the Chief Information Officer, the Deputy Chief Financial Officer, and the Senior Procurement Executive, among others.
