About the role
As Principal Deputy Chief of Legislative Liaison, Office of the Secretary of the Army, incumbent fully participates in executive level policy formulation, planning and direction for successful execution and accomplishment of the Office of the Chief of Legislative Liaison (OCLL) mission. Provides assistance and advice to the Secretary of the Army, the Chief of Staff of the Army, and the Army leadership on legislative aspects of Department of the Army (DA) policies, plans and programs. Fully shares responsibility for direct supervision and management oversight of all OCLL personnel and programs and serves as the Army's lead civilian legislative liaison with Members of Congress and Congressional Staff Members. Maintains continuing and extensive interface with other elements throughout DA, Department of Defense (DoD), other government agencies, private industry, and Congress.
