The Assistant Inspector General (AIG) for Audits, Emergency Management and Preparedness (EMP) position is located in the Emergency Management and Preparedness (EMP), Office of Audits (OA), Office of Inspector General (OIG), Department of Homeland Security (DHS). The Inspector General examines, evaluates and, where necessary, critiques operations and activities, recommending ways for the Department of Homeland Security to carry out its responsibilities in the most effective, efficient, and economical manner possible. The AIG for Audits, EMP leads, directs, and is responsible for operational and functional development, implementation and supervision of DHS OIG audit activities within the OA, EMP.
