RECREATION ASSISTANT NF-2

The incumbent is assigned to the Big Bear Recreation Facility and assists patrons in various areas within the facility. Incumbent will work indoors and outdoors and will be exposed to dirt, dust, summer heat, winter snow, and rain/chilly weather. Provides oversight of activities and services to authorized patrons, including general information about the Big Bear Lake, CA area. Provides information concerning facilities and operation. Ensures adherence to regulations and safety procedures. Monitors and checks the security of premises. Shovels snow, operates snow blowers, plow truck and/or tractor. Operates 4x4 utility vehicle as necessary to service the property and cabins. Provides housekeeping services to cabins and lodge to include performing laundry related tasks such as washing of dirty linens and terry, and folding of clean laundry, maintenance of campgrounds and RV parking areas, and performs clerical, custodial and/or general maintenance duties as needed.
