Medical Records Administration Specialist

Advise on and perform a wide range of technical and administrative duties involved in the development, analysis, maintenance and use of diagnostic and therapeutic cancer data. Resolve complex operational issues by identifying root causes, proposing viable solutions, and initiating corrective action. Coordinate efforts with other departments and prepare estimates of budget, staffing and equipment needs. Advise leadership and staff on the correct interpretation and application of the American College of Surgeons (ACoS) cancer program standards. Prepare all correspondence required for the operation of the Tumor Registry. Identify methods of utilizing registry data through patient care evaluation audits and special research studies.
