Aviation Safety Inspector (AW General Aviation Maintenance)

The incumbent applies comprehensive technical knowledge and authoritative technical expertise for matters applicable to operators, aircraft and/or airmen. The incumbent will be responsible for matters as it pertains to evaluations, inspections, and reinspections of any certificate holder entity. Incumbent performs assignments that are of such breadth, diversity, and intensity that they involve numerous complex features to assure that organizations and air carriers meet applicable Federal Aviation safety regulations. Interprets, audits, evaluates, and analyzes practices of business operations related to aviation systems and operators. Incumbent works directly and maintains access to highly sensitive, confidential sensitive data that may affect national security and/or law enforcement activities; and therefore, will be required to protect and maintain the confidentiality in those actions.
