About the role
Incumbent oversees safety or occupational health program elements including fall protection, electrical safety, confined space and hazardous materials. Analyzes jobs, processes, products, or other systems to determine the risks to employees. Performs complex technical hazard assessment assignments involving the evaluation and analysis of laboratory data to develop hazard control options for asbestos exposures, mold growth, drinking water exceedances, confined spaces, or other similar health hazards. Conducts workplace environmental/safety inspections and develops abatement plans to control the identified hazards. Serves as subject matter expert in identifying and evaluating personal protective equipment needs (fall-protection, electrical, and hazardous materials). Identifies and evaluates safety training needs in the areas identified above.
