Deputy Director, Office of Information Technology

Shares full responsibility with the Director for planning and implementing deployment of staff, budget, and financial resources to accomplish OIT’s mission. Develops, implements, and ensures compliance with plans, policies, standards, infrastructures and architectures which establish the framework for the management of all CMS’s IT programs. Leads and advises on IT projects and initiatives, aligning business needs with system architecture, security, data and information flows, and technical standards to ensure effective integration of processes and requirements. Provides technical advice on the evaluation, selection, implementation, and maintenance of information systems, ensuring appropriate investment in strategic and operational systems. Represents CMS on interagency workgroups established to develop Department or government-wide IT policy initiatives and solutions of critical issues.
