Supervisory Wildland Firefighter (Engine Captain) - Direct Hire Authority

As a Supervisory Wildland Firefighter (Engine Captain) - Direct Hire Authority your duties will include but are not limited to the following: Exercises supervisory authority to regularly assigned firefighters within a fire engine crew. Performs administrative program management functions such as planning, budget execution, and stewardship of facilities, equipment, vehicles, and accountable property. Applies an experienced understanding of firefighter safety, fire behavior, topography of the area weather, fuels, and training in fire management. Plans action and direct utilization of fireline resources; directs assigned suppression operations and directs assigned suppression operations. Oversees the development and implementation of training programs to comply with policy, regulations, and development.
