Pharmacist Supervisor (Inpt/SPC CP)

The Clinical Pharmacy Practitioner (CPP) Supervisor, Inpatient/Specialty Clinical Pharmacy Programs functions at the highest level of clinical practice, working independently under his/her scope of practice as defined by the medical center to directly care for patients requiring care as deemed necessary and appropriate in his/her designated area of specialty at the parent facility and to other areas of the medical center as assigned. The CPP Supervisor, Pharmacy Supervisor, Inpatient/Specialty Clinical Pharmacy Programs, is responsible for the professional and administrative management of an assigned area in pharmacy service, plays a defined role in budgetary execution, and serves as a consultant and mid level provider who functions to initiate, modify or discontinue medication therapy. Extensive documentation and clinical progress note writing are required of this position. The incumbent may be involved in research activities and precepting of pharmacy trainees.
