About the role
As an Emergency Management Specialist, you will: Provide policy consultation and direction, interpret various requirements and guidelines, and support the implementation of continuity program measures, including risk mitigation needs as prescribed by risk assessments of critical infrastructure assets. Establish and monitor operating continuity and emergency management programs to meet specific needs of the agency, covering a number of locations and a variety of situations. Participate in the development of a regularly tested incident response/recovery plan for all organizational elements, including exercises, and response/recovery test post-mortem procedures which ensure plan maintenance. Inspect and evaluate the effectiveness of continuity and emergency management programs for adequacy, efficiency, and need for improvement.
