About the role
The incumbent assists in delivering programs to the shipboard community and facilitates fleet participation in departmental activities. Provides training to Recreation Services Officers and Fund Custodians through facilitation of the Fleet Recreation Management Course. Provides technical training and guidance in the functional areas of afloat recreation programs, accounting, auditing, procurement, general program administration and fund management. Assists in coordinating shipboard participation in the Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) Department recreation programs as well as assisting ships in the development of command sponsored activities. May assist the Deployed Forces Coordinator or Deputy Coordinator in sponsoring additional recreation for programs for individual ships, squadrons, groups or ships in port.
