About the role
Duties described reflect the full performance GS-12 level. Duties will be performed in a developmental capacity under close supervision. Analyze and interpret financial documents and reports. Advise managers on changes related to financial policies and program operations. Develop recommendations to resolve complex financial and budgetary problems. Evaluate financial policies and systems to ensure compliance with regulations. Provide guidance and training on the use of resource management systems. Recommend improvements for financial procedures and automated systems. Prepare a variety of reports covering the status of funds, obligations, and expenditures. Monitor financial programs to identify trends and ensure proper use of funds. Allocate funds to organizational areas based on analysis of budget estimates. Serve as a liaison for program-related financial matters with internal and external personnel.
