About the role
Maintain constant collaboration with admitting providers and charge nurses in the command to monitor appropriate and adequate staffing based upon the volume and acuity of patients. Evaluate nursing care assignments based upon patient acuity, patient load, and nursing skill sets in making recommendations on the appropriateness of assignments. Coordinate with admitting physicians and nurses to ensure potential patients requiring an Inpatient admission are assigned to the unit most appropriate for the patients' diagnosis and care requirements. Respond to all Rapid Response Team (RRT) activations, Codes (including Blue, Stroke, ST-Elevated Myocardial Infarction (STEMI), Green, Pink, Gray) and Massive Transfusion Protocol activations throughout the Command.
