Emergency Management Specialist (Direct Hire)

Serve as the Emergency Management Program Manager reporting to the Deputy Chief of Protective Services. Develop, coordinate, review and maintain a Continuity of Operations Plan (COOP) to ensure compliance with Federal requirements and continued operation of critical functions during emergencies and disasters. Establish and maintain a robust liaison program with Agency and other Center emergency managers, private industry tenants, federal, state and local governmental agencies. Ensure NASA Langley Research Center (LaRC) emergency management program policy, plans, training, exercises, and events are fully integrated, synchronized and consistent with NASA standards, requirements and policies. Plan, develop, coordinate and implement drills and exercises for emergency responders and the Center community to include tenants and resident agencies and ensure compliance with Homeland Security Exercise and Evaluation Program (HSEEP) guidelines.
