Aerospace Engineer, AST, Structural Mechanics (Direct Hire)

Serves as a recognized engineering expert, and technical advisor to management and other centers in the area of structural design, analysis, and evaluation of advanced structural systems for the safety-of-flight of aerospace vehicles. Exercises recognized technical leadership in the analysis of structural systems, demonstrating outstanding creativity and exceptional scientific and engineering judgment to prove or disprove the feasibility of structural system concepts. Provides system-level technical expertise to existing and proposed flight projects involving structural design and/or modification. Provides innovative analysis and test approaches for aerospace vehicles utilizing unique structural systems, unusual materials and advanced materials to ensure safety-of-flight and to achieve mission goals and objectives. Utilizes a high level of technical expertise in structural systems to identify, describe, and raise issues involving technical conscience to the Chief Engineer and the NASA
