About the role
Duty 1: Incumbent serves as the fighter aircraft subject matter expert for the AF aviation safety program. Duty 2: Represents the Air Force at all levels to review and amend flight-specific, technical and regulatory guidance to reduce hazards related to aircraft operations. Duty 3: Reviews and applies new safety of flight findings, developments, and emerging technologies to reduce the potential damage to AF aircraft. Duty 4: Provides fighter aircrew resource assistance to aircraft mishap safety investigations.
